France emerged 2018 world cup winners, after beating Croatia 4-2 in an entertaining 90 minutes. Mandzukic own goal gave France the lead in the 18th minute, and Perisic scored to make it 1-1 in the 28th minute, France then got an astonishing penalty kick, just before half time, after a VAR review, and Griezmann made it 2-1, Pogba made it 3-1 in the 59th minute, and then in the 65th minute, the wonder kid Mbappe 19, made the goals 4-1 with a fantastic goal, Mandzukic scored to make the goals 4-2. It was a thrilling game to watch, Croatia really pressed and gave France some pressure, but in the end the France team got the victory. Players who won awards were Mbappe, who won World cup young player, Harry Kane of England, won the golden boat for scoring the highest goals in the tournament, goal keeper Courtios of Belgium won the golden glove, for keeping highest clean sheets, and Luka Modric won the golden ball. Congratulations to France once again, hoping some day an African country would win the world cup to.

Master Seiyefa to wed his queen Laura
Comrade Seiyefa Ekpemupolo (AKA Wosa 1 of Africa), the former president of National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), set to wed his fiancé Tarebi Laura Ofiyai on Saturday the 21st of July, 2018, and they are inviting you all to come celebrate with them. Seiyefa Ekpemupolo hails from Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state, and his fiance is from Bomadi Local Government area of Delta state Nigeria. The three lions England won Colombia in penalties to qualify for the world cup quarter final
England knocked out Colombia yesterday in a Penalty shoot-out, to qualify for the world cup quarter final for the first time since 2006. Harry Kane gave England the lead with a penalty goal in the 57th minute, making him the highest goal scorer so far in the competition with 6 goals. Unfortunately, Colombia equalised the game with a late minute goal in the 94th minute, to make the game 1-1, and the teams went in to play 30 minutes extra time, and was still balanced. The game went into penalty and England won by 4-3 in penalties. It was a great victory for England and the Gareth Southgate's boys will play Sweden on Saturday 7th at 3pm in the quarter final stage.

Brazil and Belgium to play against each other in the world cup quarter final
Belgium and Brazil are through to the world cup quarter final, after challenging victories today. Brazil won 2:0 against Mexico, with goals from Firmino and Neymar, and Belgium won 3-2 against Japan with goals from Vertonghen, Fellaini and Chadli who scored the winning goal. Belgium came from 2-0 down, with a surprise comeback to win the game, as Japan made the game difficult for the Belgium team. But, luckily Chadli late 94th minute goal game Belgium the victory. Therefore, as it stands now, Belgium and Brazil will play each other in the quarter inal stage over the weekend.
World Cup Surprises Messi and C Ronaldo Kicked Out Same Day
World best players of all time (GOAT) Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were both kicked out of the world cup over the weekend on same day. Portugal and Argentina who progressed to the round of 16 knock out stage, were eliminated on Saturday. Argentina was removed by France with a 4-3 win, and Portugal by Uruguay with a 2-1 win. Also on Sunday Spain was knocked out by host Russia in a penalty shoot out, and Croatia also won Denmark in a penalty shoot out. Today Monday, two South American sides Brazil and Mexico face each other at 3pm UK time, and Belgium will take on Japan at 7pm, while tomorrow Tuesday 3th July England takes on Colombia at 7pm and Sweden with Switzerland at 3pm UK time. So far the teams that have progressed to the quarter final stage are Uruguay, France, Russia and Croatia. Uruguay plays France on Friday the 6th at 3pm UK time, and Russia with Croatia Saturday 7th July at 7pm. Since the start of the World cup, there have been so many drama and surprises, with the introduction of the VAR, which helps. No one believed defending champions Germany would not even make it through the group stage, and Spain who won it in 2010. As it stands now, no one knows who is going to win the World cup, although Belgium and Brazil have been favourite teams to win it, we will see. Stay tune for more world cup updates.
